Carolina and Sharin

L) Carolina Lugo: from Bronx, police officer
R) Sharin Abreu: from Bronx, psychology student
They are cousins with 4 years apart.
When they grew up, they did many things together from eating as much candy as possible to sleepovers all summer long.
As adults, their daughters share a similar bond.
This is a handshake they did as children.
They were so little that they don’t remember how they got it - probably influenced from other kids in the elementary school.
It still makes them laugh today.

2人は４歳違いのいとこ。
子供の頃、2人はたくさんのことを一緒にした。
キャンディーを食べられるだけ食べたり、夏の間ずっとお互いの家に泊まったりした。
大人になったら、お互いの子供同士が、自分たちと同じような仲良しになった。
このハンドシェイクは、自分たちが子供の頃にやっていた。
とても小さかったので、このハンドシェイクをどうやって作ったのかは忘れてしまったが、おそらく小学校の他の子供たちの影響を受けたのだと思う。
このハンドシェイクをすると、今でも笑ってしまう。
